Oats and Oatmeal

Our oats are a great source of protein, they contain more essential fats than many other grains, and they are also a super rich source of B Complex vitamins, which are beneficial for your nervous system and for strengthening your bones. Besides this they are a good source of Iron, Dietary Fibre, Magnesium and Phosphorus. Several studies have shown the positive results on cholesterol from oat consumption: HDL cholesterol helps remove other fats from the blood, keeping your arteries and blood vessels clear and healthy. As if this wasn't enough reason to be stuffing your face with them already, our oats also contain soluble fibre to help reduce glucose absorption (the glycaemic index) in blood by increasing the viscosity in your gut.
